If the Colorwriter has the 16MB memory configuration you can attach a
single NetWare file server to the Colorwriter. If the Colorwriter has the 32MB or
48MB memory configuration, you can attach up to three file servers to the
Colorwriter, provided a print server and print queue for Colorwriter jobs has been
set up on each file server.

1.
With the printer turned off, connect it to the network.
2.
Select NETWORK SETUP. Enable IPX and enter the appropriate IPX settings.
Details of these steps are in Chapter 4, “Using the Control Panels.” NetWare
client software should already be installed on the client workstation.

After installing the Colorwriter PPD file as described previously (in “Setting up
printing with Windows 95” on page 6-18), click the Start button, point to
Settings, and then click Printers.

Click the icon for the printer and choose Properties from the File menu.

Choose the Details tab in the Properties window and click Add Port.
A list of connection options is displayed.

In the Add Port dialog box, specify the network path, or click Browse for a display
of your network environment.

Enter the path or click the icon of the NetWare file server you want to use for
printing to the Colorwriter.
8.
Click the printer icon labeled with the NetWare print queue you will use and click
OK.
In the Add Port dialog box, the network path is updated.
9.
Click OK.
You are ready to print from the workstation.
Your print jobs will be transmitted to the specified print queue on the Novell file
server. The printer will poll the file server, and if jobs are present, they will be
transmitted to the Colorwriter.
10.
To confirm the connection, you can print a Windows 95 test page (see page 6-24).
