Installing Windows software
Before you continue, ask the system administrator for the IP address assigned to
the Colorwriter, as well as the subnet mask and the gateway address, if they are
used.

1.
With the printer turned off, connect it to the network.
2.
Turn on the printer and from the printer control panel, select Network Setup.
Enable TCP/IP and enter the appropriate settings for IP address, subnet mask, and
gateway address.
Details of these steps may be found in Chapter 4, “Using the Control Panels.”

Exit the Colorwriter Network Setup and Save Changes.

Make sure you have installed the the Colorwriter as a Windows NT PostScript
printer as explained on page 6-26.
TCP/IP Protocol software should already be installed on the Windows NT
system.
5.
On the Windows NT system, in the Main group, double-click the Print Manager
icon.

Click the Colorwriter icon and choose Properties from the Printer menu.
7.
In the Print to list, scroll to Other.
The Print Destinations dialog box is displayed.
8.
Select LPR Port and click OK.
