Adjusting the side margin

Print a test page from the printer control panel.
For details, see “Printing pages on the printer” on page 3-12.

Measure the left margin of the test page.
If the left margin is 2mm, it is not necessary to adjust the side margin.
If the left margin is wider or narrower than 2mm, calculate the difference. Use this
measurement to adjust the margin with the side margin adjustment dial.
For example, if the left margin is 2.8mm:
2.8mm – 2.0mm = 0.8mm
Decrease the margin by 0.8mm.
0.8mm
÷
0.4mm = 2
Decrease the dial value by 2.
In the above example, you would reset the dial from 5 to 3.
To turn the dial, use a screw driver or your hand.
7.
Print another test print and measure to see if the left margin is 2mm. If the
margin is still not 2mm, repeat the above procedure.
