Setting up the printer
The following table lists the setup menus and their functions.

Before you change the setup, it’s a good idea to print the current printer
configuration, in case you need to restore the original settings later. For
information on printing a configuration page, see page 3-13.
Specifying system information
The System Setup menu enables you to specify system information about the
Colorwriter. (Default values, where applicable, are shown in square brackets.)
PRINTER NAME
[COLORWRITER LSR]
Use this option to give the Colorwriter a name on the network. The printer name
can be up to 16 characters.
DATE (MM/DD/YY)
Use this option to change the system date. Enter the date in the form
MM/DD/YY
(Month/Day/Year).
SYSTEM TIME
Use this option to change the system time. Enter the time in the form
HH:MM
(Hours:Minutes).

Specify system settings for the Colorwriter.
PRINTER SETUP
Specify printer settings for the Colorwriter.
NETWORK SETUP
Specify settings for the network connections to the Colorwriter,
including active ports and network protocols.
JOB LOG SETUP
Specify job log settings for the Colorwriter.
CHANGE PASSWORD
Change the existing password. This password is used to limit
access to the Setup menus and to some administrator functions
in the Colorwriter LSR Spooler.
CLEAR JOB LOG
or
CLEAR LOG/QUEUES
Clear the job log, and (systems with the PCK option installed)
clear all jobs from the Print, Hold, and Printed queues.
Generally, you should not have to use this option.
