Checking the Connection
After having connected the interface cable, you should check if the settings for the serial interface
of the printer correspond with those you have on the host system. This guarantees the correct
communication between the host and your printer.
The settings of the serial interface are selectable in the printer Set-Up. The following table shows
the factory settings:

paragraph "Printing a Test Page From Your Host System", otherwise see Chapter 6 "Configuring
Your Printer" in the User Guide for how to set-up your DIGITAL Matrix Printer LA400plus.
Printing a Test Page from Your Host System
After having installed the printer driver, it is useful to check, if the printer and the host are
communicationg properly. To do this send a test page from the host to the printer. Consult your
host documentation for how to proceed.
