Operator’s Guide
Parameters
Printer parameters are settings such as line
spacing (lpi), characters per inch (cpi), typeface,
etc. You can change a parameter by pressing
keys on the operator panel or by sending a
control code from the host computer.
A parameter such as 8 lpi is effective as long
as the printer is on. To save the 8 lpi
parameter, you must use the operator panel
and save it as part of a configuration.
To learn more about the configuration menus
and how to change individual parameters
such as line spacing, typeface, etc., refer to
the
LG
plus
Series Setup Guide or the
programming reference manual for each
emulation.
Control Codes
Control codes override parameters that were
changed with the operator panel. For example, if
you set line spacing to 6 lpi with the operator
panel, and application software later changed
this to 8 lpi with a control code, then 8 lpi would
be the new, active parameter.
