Frequently Asked Questions & Troubleshooting
•
With D-Light Box, it is safe to recharge it at anytime and
you should avoid depleting the battery completely before
recharging.
I have photos stored on my computer. How do I go about
displaying those photos on D-Light Box?
•
You can connect D-Light Box to your computer via USB and
copy your photos from your computer onto the Internal
Memory of D-Light Box.
Can I adjust the screen brightness on D-Light Box?
•
Yes, you can adjust screen brightness under Settings.
How can I adjust the slideshow interval?
•
You can change the slideshow interval during a slideshow
on-the-fly by pressing the UP/DOWN buttons. After the
Slideshow Interval Menu pop up, press LEFT/RIGHT to
adjust the slideshow interval. The interval can be changed
from 5 seconds to up to 24 hours. Press ENTER to confirm
the selection.
The slide interval is set to 5-Second, but it seems to take
longer than 5 seconds to change the picture. Why is it like
this?
•
Photos of larger file sizes will take more time to load.
Selecting 5-Second does not mean that the next photo will
appear in exactly 5 seconds. It means that the next photo
will start the loading process after 5 seconds. Large files
may take longer than 5 seconds to display.
What types of memory cards are supported?
•
Supported memory cards include SD, SDHC, Memory Stick,
MS PRO, MS Duo and MS PRO Duo.
•
Other formats might be accessible with appropriate
memory card adapter.
Does D-Light Box have a USB port for reading from a digital
camera or from a flash drive?
•
The USB port next to the memory card slots on D-Light
Box supports USB flash drive directly. It does not connect
directly to a digital camera.
Can D-Light Box run on AC power instead of battery?
•
Yes D-Light Box runs on either battery or AC power adapter.
You can leave the device plugged in while viewing images
to avoid running out of battery power.
What is the battery life of D-Light Box?
•
D-Light Box has a battery life of over 6 hours on average on
a full charge. With a lower brightness setting the battery life
can last as long as 9 hours.
Is it OK to recharge at any level of remaining charge i.e. must
it be depleted before recharge?
•
With the current Lithium-Ion battery technology (the same
that D-Light Box uses), the result called “memory-effect” is
not a problem. In early rechargeable batteries (the Nickel-
Metal-Cadmium), when you charge the battery at the 1/2
way point, you ‘reset’ the total capacity of the battery to the
point where you started to recharge it.
