Getting Started
Press tab on side with handle to open jaw. Snap
damaged disc (label side down) into disc holder.
Snap disc holder onto lower jaw spindle.
Generously spray entire disc with Resurfacing
Fluid and close jaw. Resurfacing Fluid is
completely safe and environmentally friendly.
Turn crank handle clockwise until disc makes
one complete revolution. Disc moves at slower
rate than crank handle. Respray the disc and
repeat the process until the disc has made a
second complete rotation.
Open jaw of SkipDR and remove disc. Remove
any remaining moisture with drying cloth.
Place disc (label side down) on protected flat
surface. Buff resurfaced, dry disc with buffing
square thoroughly. Buffing restores the disc's
shiny appearance, and ensures optimal disc
performance.
Tips:
If you experience difficulty opening jaw, twist
front of jaw to left and pull down.
It is very important to keep discs wet during the
resurfacing process, or discs may become
damaged.
Discs with label side damage cannot be repaired
by any method.
To maximize resurfacing life, rinse wheel under
cold water after each use.
If the disc is not completely repaired on the first
try, repeat until completely fixed or no further
improvement is evident.
Visible scratches do not have to be removed
completely for the disc to play perfectly.
The same disc can be repaired multiple times.
The final buffing step ensures best repair results.
To replace the resurfacing wheel, first remove the
disc from the disc holder (if one is in place).
Next, open the window by pressing the button at
the top of the window marked “Press to Open”.
Gently pull the window open. Reach in with your
fingers and pull the old resurfacing wheel out.
Drop in the new wheel. Snap the window closed.
The SkipDR will not repair severe damage such
as gouges and deep scratches, label side damage
and warping.
