Shutdown
Shutdown sequence is very important for a reliable behavior of the system when in opera on. AITP manages the shutdown
sequence, signaling to the applica ons that the device is about to be powered o
ff
.
The customer applica on should read this signal (the “IPRESHUT” digital input), and when is High it should prepare to power
o
ff
, closing all opened
fi
les and termina ng every disk ac vity. If connected to its central sta on, it can send a logout message.
Shutdown me is by default 10 seconds, but can be increased from AITP setup.
When the shutdown me is elapsed, the AITP powers o
ff
the modem and all devices, it waits for disk ac vity to stop, and
fi
nally powers o
ff
the device.
Shutdown sequence can be started by AITP (power bu on, engine…) or by the user applica on, sending the AITP shutdown
or restart with the AITP DLL.
Stealth Mode
“Stealth Mode” is a special opera on mode, that leaves the device fully running but with the display and leds OFF.
It is useful for example for monitoring the environment when in Alarm, or to reduce power consump on and heath
when the user interface is not required (for example when there is no user ac vity for a long me).
Please note that Touch Screen is s ll ac ve during Stealth!
Stealth can be ac vated and cleared with AITP libraries commands. There are also condi ons where is the AITP itself
that force a Stealth Mode, like the “Stealth by Power Bu on”. In this case if the device is powered on and the power
bu on is pressed, than the M1 MDT is put in Stealth and not powered o
ff
. Pressing again the power bu on resumes
normal ac vity and clear Stealth Mode.
The cause of the stealth can be deduced from the Stealth Mode number:
mode = 0 : no stealth
mode = 1 : stealth by wake up on ring
mode = 2 : stealth by power bu on
mode = 9 : stealth by wake up on alarm
The other modes are available to be used by customer applica on.
