21. Pull Back Rods, Resteer, and Relog
If it is necessary to pull back and resteer the tool, you will use the control buttons (Pull Back, Restore, and
Log) under Rod Log Controls in the Steering Tool Data Upload Control dialog box.

Every time you click the Pull Back button, you will remove the data for the last logged data point from the
profile and plan view plots and also from the data points table (see
LWD Software Instructions
section). If
you decide to not pull back after you have retreated rods, you can press the Restore button until you are
back to the original position or where you want to start resteering, and the original data will reappear.
Once a rod is pulled back it will remain visible on the screen until a new rod that changes the previous
bore path is logged.
NOTE
: Be careful to be methodical when pulling back and advancing rods so that you do not hit
the button more times than the number of rods pulled back or advanced.
