Chapter 6: Service Personnel Requisites
Card Labeling
A blank label sticker is provided with the card. This label should be
completed in indelible ink with the appropriate port information (as
described below) and placed on the TDM400P card. There are four ports
available on the card which need to be identified on the external label.
Refer to Chapter 2—“Card Installation” for instructions on identifying the
type of card you have and the modules.
For FXS modules, identify the corresponding port with
PHONE
. For FXO
modules, identify the corresponding port with
LINE
. If there are not four
modules present on the card, identify the remaining empty ports with
VOID
. Table 2 provides an example for a model TDM21 card (consisting
of 2 FXS modules and 1 FXO module). Similarly, Figure 8 on page 45
shows an actual card with the label installed in the lower, outside portion
of the bracket.
