Properly Using Your Maintenance Log
Introduction to the Log:
This maintenance log has been provided to you by Direct Color Systems to ensure proper operational function of your UV
printer. It will also provide DCS technical support with a history to refer to when assessing any issues.
About the Log:
The log is set up on a 3 month cycle (12 weeks). Each day has a series of tasks and notes to be completed prior to production, a
note section for mid-production and a series of tasks and notes to be completed after production has stopped for the day.
For the most part these tasks remain the same except for incremental replacement of accessories and parts e.g. Week 12 notes
replacement of the capping station.
Using the Notes Section:
The note section is very important. This section is for anything that occurs that is out of the ordinary e.g. nozzle drops outs,
head strikes, premature failure of parts, etc. This section will be examined very carefully by DCS technical support while
issues are being assessed in house. Failure to accurately complete the notes section could result in longer diagnosis time and
therefore printer down-time.
Initialing:
After each day there is a place for Initials. Initialling should be done by the operator who performs the tasks for that day.
