Use this setting to start recording a program before its scheduled
beginning. For example, to catch the first joke of a comedy series, you can set the
Season Pass to start recording one minute early. The default is “On-Time,” but you
can choose to start recording 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 minutes before the program is
scheduled to being.

Use this setting to stop recording a program after its scheduled
end. For example, to continue recording for a while after the scheduled end of a
sports event, in case it goes into overtime. The default setting is “On-Time,” but
you can stop recording 1, 2, 5, 15, or 30 minutes, or 1, 1.5 or 3 hours after a
program is scheduled to end.
The TiVo Service will help you resolve any scheduling conflicts. When you schedule a
recording, the Receiver checks whether you have asked for another program to be
recorded at an overlapping time. It also checks whether there is space available to
complete the new recording and to save it for the length of time specified in

If a conflict occurs while you are scheduling a program, a conflict
screen shows you which programs are involved and offers options to resolve the
conflict. If there is more information than will fit on one screen, you can use the
CHAN DOWN button to see the next page. CHAN UP shows you the previous page.
If you are trying to create a series recording—such as a Season Pass, auto-recording
WishList, or manual Season Pass—the conflict screen will include choices to:
• Only record programs in the series recording that do not conflict with other
programs you have scheduled to record (i.e., give this series the lowest priority in
the
