8. If
light flashes three times, the code is valid
and you can go to step 9. If
light does not flash
at all, the code may not have been entered
correctly. So, start over from step 3 and try the code
again.
9. Press
while looking at the channel number
display on your VCR. If the VCR is trying to
change channels to the channel you wrote in step 2
on page 15, go on to the next section to set up
for your VCR. If not, pick another code for your
VCR brand from the VCR code tables and go back
to step 3.

: The way your VCR displays channel numbers
may differ from the description above. See the
User’s Guide that came with your VCR for more
information.
If you have tried all of the codes and none work, go
to How to Scan for VCR Codes on page 22.
1. Make sure your satellite receiver, VCR, and TV are
connected and your remote control is set up to
control your VCR using the instructions in the
previous sections.
2. Turn on your VCR and tune your VCR to a channel
other than 3 or 4 (for example, 5).

Channel 3 or 4.
