You can often
save yourself time
if you troubleshoot the system
before
you call the Customer Service Center!
1.
If the receiver displays an
Error
message on the TV screen
,
see the
On-Screen Messages
table on page 112. Also, check the cables and
make sure their connections are tight.
If the receiver doesn’t display
an
Error
message
,
go on to step 2.
2.
Here’s a simple fix for many problems
:
Press and hold
the receiver’s front panel
POWER
button for about five seconds,
or until the
POWER
and
RECORDING
lights turn on, and then
let go of the button. The TV screen will go blank for a few seconds,
display a message that the receiver is acquiring the satellite signal,
and then the picture will return.

any
troubleshooting table, here’s what to do:
a.) Look under

until you find the problem.
