Fan Belt
Check
Check belt every 50 hours for damage or wear. Replace worn
belt.
Adjust
•
Turn off engine and remove
key.
•
Apply moderate thumb
pressure to belt between
pulleys, as shown.
•
Belt is properly tensioned
when deflection is about 0.28
to 0.35 in (7 to 9 mm).
•
If needed, loosen alternator
bolts (shown) and pull alternator out until correct tension is
reached.
Replace
Replace belt every 500 hours.
