Handwriting area
When a character is written, "^" is displayed
under the character. Tap "^" to display a list
of recognition candidate and you can modify
the character.

Move cursor position.

Enter half space.

Delete key
Delete character.

Execute entered text box function (run/
linefeed/search).
Note
• The key display varies depending on the
entry screen or character mode.
• For information on switching the type of
on-screen keyboard, refer to "Switching
keyboard" (P70).
• When you no longer need the keyboard,
you can close it by tapping
. To
display it again, tap the text box on the
screen.
There are 7 character input modes. The
current mode is indicated by the following
icons in the status bar.
