Using Overseas
You can use packet communication service
overseas at daily capped pricing by manually
connecting to the operator providing desired
service in "Network operators". To use the
flat-rate pricing service, you are required to
subscribe to it. For details, see "Mobile Phone
User's Guide [International Services]" or the
DOCOMO "International Services website".

About screen display
The type of network you are using is indicated in
the status bar on the screen.
: Roaming
/
: Using/connected to GPRS
/
: Using/connected to 3G (packet)
The network operator you are connecting is
shown on Notifications panel.

The date and time
If the date and time are configured to update
automatically, the time and time zone of the
FOMA terminal's clock will be automatically
changed when information about the local time
and time zone is received from the network of
the overseas operator to which you are
connected.

Automatic setting may not work properly
depending on the network of the overseas
operator. Set manually in such a case.
The timing of these changes varies depending
on the overseas operator.

Inquiries
If your FOMA terminal or miniUIM is lost or
stolen overseas, contact DOCOMO
immediately from your current location and
carry out the procedure to suspend usage. For
contact information, contact "General
Inquiries" provided on the last page of this
manual. Please note that you are liable for any
call or communication charges incurred after
the loss or theft of the FOMA terminal.
You will need the country's international call
access code or universal number international
prefix if calling from a land-line phone from
overseas.
After returning to Japan
When you return to Japan, the FOMA
terminal automatically connects to the
DOCOMO network. If it is unable to connect,
change the following settings.
Set "Network Mode" to "Auto".
