Remember to be courteous to others when you use your FOMA terminal.
Turn the power off when you are:

Use is prohibited in some places. Be sure to switch the power off in:

Hospitals
* There is not only the hospital awards where the electronic medical devices may be in use near you. Turn off your
FOMA terminal even in hospital lobbies or waiting rooms.

While driving
Using a handheld mobile phone while driving will result in a penalty.
* When you are obliged to receive a call, tell the caller that you will call back later using handsfree functions, then
pull off the road before using the phone.

In a crowded train, etc., there is a possibility that a person who uses implantable cardiac pacemaker or
implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) may be around you.
Radio waves emitted by the FOMA terminal may adversely affect implanted pacemakers and ICDs.

In the public places such as theaters, cinemas, and art galleries
Using the FOMA terminal in a public place, where you need to be quiet, annoys people around you.
Concern about the place and keep your voice and ring tone calm

Keep your voice down in quiet places like restaurants and hotel lobbies when using your FOMA terminal.
■
Choose the place not to block foot when using your FOMA terminal in a downtown.
Respect privacy
Please be considerate of the privacy of individuals around you when taking and sending photos using
camera-equipped mobile phones.
For well-mannered use
Your FOMA terminal is equipped with useful functions not to answer an incoming call or to mute the sounds.
This manual was printed on recycling paper and is recyclable. When you have done with it, take it to
a local recycling collection center.
Check/Change the contractual detail, make various service application and request information online.

Manner mode mutes the sounds of the FOMA terminal such as the keypad sounds and the ring tone. You can
customize Manner mode by changing the settings of the Record message function, vibrator or ring tone (Original
manner mode). However, neither Manner mode nor Original manner mode can mute the shutter sound of the camera.

The FOMA terminal announces to the caller that you cannot answer the call because you are driving or in a place
you need to refrain from calling or to turn off the power.
