Configuring a Dial-up Network
This section describes the steps to configure settings for packet communication without
using the DOCOMO Connection Manager.
Setting Access Point (APN)
Set an access point (APN) for packet communication. Up to 11 access points (APN) can be
set up and they are managed with a registration number (cid).
Communication software is required to enter AT commands. This section describes the steps
necessary for using the "Hyper Terminal" that comes with Windows.
• The registration number (cid) 1 is set to mopera.ne.jp, number 2 is set to mopera.net, number 3
is set to mopera.net, and number 4 is set to mpr.ex-pkt.net by default. Use 5 to 11 when setting
another access point.
• "Hyper Terminal" does not run on Windows Vista and Windows 7. To confi gure the settings on
Windows Vista and Windows 7, use communication software compatible with Windows Vista and
Windows 7. For the setting procedure, refer to the instruction manual and other documentation that
come with the software to be used.
• Set Access Point Number to "*99***3#" when connecting to "mopera U", set to "*99***1#" when
connecting to "mopera".
• For an access point (APN) other than "mopera U" and "mopera", contact your ISP or network
administrator.
