After shutting off the mains, disassemble the old tap.
Clean the threads of the mains very well.
Instructions for correct maintenance (page 30-31):
Fig. E
First mount on the body -6- the stud bolt - 11 - and the supply tubes - 16 - and tigh-
ten them with an adjustable wrench (not included).
Fig. F
Position the O-ring - 12 - in its housing on the tap body -6-. Insert the tap in the hole
of the fixture.
Fig. G
Place the shaped seal - 13- and the flange - 14 - onto the threaded pin - 11 -, then
tighten the tap with the stay - 15 -.
Fig H
Connect the left supply tube - 16 - to the hot water and the right to the cold water.
Turn on the water and check that the mixer is operating properly and that no leaka-
ge is detected from any of its parts. Turn the right handle (blue) to turn on the cold
water; turn the left one (red) to turn on the hot water.
Adjust the two handles to mix the water to the desired temperature. With the mixer
on, check that the shunt is working properly. Lift the knob -9.1- to deviate the flow to
the shower.
When the water is turned off, the knob should automatically return to its original posi-
tion. This feature is excluded if the pressure is under 0.5 BAR. If this is the case,
several series of single-control mechanisms we produce have a manual shunt with
mechanical stop that allows deviation at a low pressure (<0.5 BAR).
Chrome-plated parts or ones with other finishes are to be cleaned with mild soap
and water only, using a sponge or soft cloth. To clean the aerator, use only a liquid
lime-removal product.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE abrasives or products with a high acidity.
