2.1
General safety

WARNING! Failure to obey these warnings could result in death
or serious injury.
Health hazard
•
This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack
of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the device in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved.
•
Children shall not play with the device.
•
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision.
•
Keep magnets away from pacemakers. The operation of heart pace-
makers will be affected by the close proximity of a magnet.
Suffocation hazard
•
This device contains small parts. Keep it away from children.
•
Ensure that children under 16 are not allowed to play with magnets
and children over 16 are told about the potential dangers of magnets.
If two or more small magnets are swallowed, this would cause life-
threatening injuries.

CAUTION! Failure to obey these cautions could result in minor or
moderate injury.
Risk of injury
•
Magnets have a strong adhesive force. If two magnets get close
together, there is a risk of violent collision. Fingers or skin can become
pinched.
•
Magnets may break, chip or chatter into sharp pieces, e.g. when two
magnets collide.
•
The device must only be installed or repaired by qualified personnel
using suitable fastening material.
•
Only for boats and yachts:
If the blind is in front of an open window,
then the blind should be stowed when driving at more than 10 knots
or in a sea state more than moderate, because this can damage the
blind. Parts that come loose may injure people in the vicinity.
