E1 – Calibrate sensor
Connect a known concentration of gas, at a flow rate of between 500 and 1000cc/min, to the port marked
.
Allow time for the sensor to respond.
Using the
[ ]
and
[ ]
keys set the reading to that of the calibration gas level.
Press
[
]
to span the sensor. The display will show ‘
– – – –
‘ to confirm that the sensor span has been performed.
Note: Pressing the [ MENU ] key rather than the
[
]
key will exit the span feature without performing the
calibration.
Wait until the reading is stable, if not press the
[
]
key to span the sensor.
Press the
[
MENU
]
key to close the menu system.
Note: The sensor span setting will be displayed on exit while the
[ MENU ]
key is pressed.
Turn the calibration gas off and disconnect.
Note:
the sensor can be zeroed via the serial RS232 link, see the PC software Manual for details.
E2 – Analogue output FSD
Using the
[ ]
and
[ ]
keys adjust the FSD to the required level.
Press
[
]
.
Note: Pressing the [ MENU ] key rather than the [ ENTER ] key exits the sensor FSD feature without any change.
Press the
[ MENU ]
key to close the menu system.
Note: The Sensor FSD will be displayed on exit while the
[ MENU ]
key is pressed.
E3 – Set 4 mA output
Monitor the current sourced from the analogue output of the module using a multimeter set to read milliamps.
Using the
[ ]
and
[ ]
keys adjust the output to 4mA.
Press
[
]
.
Note: Pressing the [ MENU ] key rather than the [ ENTER ] key exits the 4 mA feature without performing the
calibration.
Press the
[ MENU ]
key to close the menu system.
Note: The 4 mA factor will be displayed on exit.
E4 – Set 20 mA output
Monitor the current sourced from the analogue output of the module using a multimeter set to read milliamps.
Using the
[ ]
and
[ ]
keys adjust the output to 20mA.
Press
[
]
.
Press the
[ MENU ]
key to close the menu system.
