For the best training outcomes, please follow the following recommendations:
• Always start with a warm up at a slow rhythm and a low resistance for several minutes.
• To increase the aerobic intensity of the exercise, use the resistance thumb wheel to adjust the intensity to a fairly easy position.
• To increase your muscle tone, use the resistance thumb wheel to adjust the intensity to a fairly difficult position.
Make regular movements and avoid sudden movements. Keep your back straight at all times. Do not bend or arch your back while you are exercising. Pull
on the oar while pushing with your legs. Always end your training session by exercising at a slow speed for several minutes in order to return to resting
levels.
U S E
Movement using the RTC690 can be broken down into three stages: attack, thrust into the water, and pulling out. This movement should be performed fluidly
and rhythmically, with no jerks.
The Return: the return to the starting position is done by pulling on the legs and simultaneously pushing on the arms, breathing out. The user is thus back in the
attack position and goes straight back without a pause.
T H E P U l l I N G M O v E M E N T
➊
The attack:
The star-
ting position is with bent
legs, hands on the oars,
the arms extended in
front and the shoulders
relaxed.
➋
Thrusting
into
the water:
The user
pushes onto the legs
and half way through
the stroke, pulls with the
arms, beginning to brea-
the in.
➌
Pulling out:
The elbows are brought back,
the rib cage expanded, breathing in. The
legs are stretched, but the knees are not
completely locked. The back should be very
straight (at 90° to the rowing machine). It is
important not to bend backwards.
Getting into shape must be done in a CONTROLLED manner. Before beginning any exercise program, consult your doctor.
This is especially important for people aged over 35 or who have previously had health problems,
and those who have not done any sport for a number of years. Read all instructions before use.
