1.
Position the machine on firm, level ground. Lower boom
and position bucket on ground as shown in Figure 17.
2.
Set engine speed to "LOW IDLE."
3.
Set safety lever to "LOCK" position.
4.
Check level gauge by opening right access door. Oil level
must be between marks on sight gauge.
5.
If the level is below "L" mark add oil.
A.
Shut down engine.
B.
The hydraulic tank is pressurized. Turn the breather
cap slowly to allow the pressurized air to vent.
C.
Remove the upper cover of the hydraulic tank and
add oil.
6.
If oil level is above the "H" mark drain oil.
A.
Shut down engine and wait for the hydraulic oil to
cool down.
B.
Drain the excess oil from drain valve (Figure 20) at
the bottom of the tank into a suitable container, using
a hose connected to the valve.
NOTE:
Dispose of drained fluids according to local
regulations.

IMPORTANT
Do not fill above "H" mark on sight gauge. Overfilling
can result in damage to equipment and oil leaking
from hydraulic tank due to expansion.
