To remove base the child
restraint must be in the
fully reclined position.
Underneath the restraint,
move tab 

(A)

sideways.Tab

is located on the right side
of base.

Note:

For narrow vehicles remove base. For rear-

facing child restraint make sure recline stand is folded
under seat. Base must be removed for use as a
belt positioning booster seat.

Removing Base

Lift restraint off base by
pulling on red recline
handle.

Replace bar on base for
safe keeping and future
use.

From the opposite side
push metal bar through
until the bar is completely
out.

Installing Base

Underneath the base on
right side, move tab
sideways. Begin with
rounded end of metal bar,
push through hole starting
from right side of shell,
until metal bar locks into
place.

Pull up on child restraint
to make sure bar is
correctly inserted and
child restraint is locked to
the base.

Remove Metal Bar:

Make sure to pull recline
stand down and fold under
seat.

Working underneath the
child restraint, line up shell
with seat base starting at
front of child restraint. Fit
base into place.
