5) Battery
Do not connect the battery positive and negative poles reversely (pay
attention to the + and - markings). When connecting, first connect
the positive pole, the the negative pole. When disconnecting, first
disconnect the negative pole, then the positive pole. If disregarded this
may cause serious damage to the generator and/or the battery itself.
If the battery maintenance procedures are not followed correctly
there is a risk of combustion or explosion. The battery may release
inflammable gas. Refill the battery in a well ventilated area and do not
overflow the cells.
NOTICE
WARNING
Check the electrolyte inside each battery cell to see if the fluid is kept
between the lower and upper mark. If the fluid level is under the lower
mark, screw off the cap and add distilled water up to the upper mark.
The fluid in each cell should be maintained at approximately the same
level.
