The answering machine
About the answering machine
The answering machine has to be turned on in order to receive messages. On
incoming calls the answering machine will respond after the selected number of
rings (please refer to page 30).
When the answering machine answers the incoming call the caller will hear
your outgoing message (OGM) followed by a tone, at this point they can leave
a incoming message (ICM) up to 3 minutes in length. Should the caller exceed
this limit the call will be terminated. The memory can store up to 8 minutes of
incoming messages.
If the answer function is set to Answer only (ANN) the caller will not be able to
leave a message, as the call will be disconnected once the outgoing message has
been played.
Most functions can be performed from either base unit or handset.
The caller can also record their message in a specifi c mailbox (please refer to
page 33), all voice mails are in English.
