5.4.2
Peltier elements
Two Peltier elements (Fig.47 d.) at the back of the cooling compartment preserve the temperature
inside the cooling compartment between 2
~
5
°
C (35.6
~
41
°
F) provided that the ambient temperature
of the dispenser does not exceed the specifications listed in section 2.1 Installation requirements.
Where on one side the Peltier element can generate cold to cool the cooling compartment, the
opposite end of the Peltier element will heat up to remove its energy.
D
The cold is transferred to the cooling compartment via an aluminium plate (Fig.47 c.).
D
The energy heat is transferred to an aluminum heat sink (Fig.47 g.).
To avoid overheating of the Peltier element, a fan (Fig.47 i.) at the back of the dispenser blows air from
the outside of the dispenser on to the heat sink.
Note:
To ensure a proper temperature flow, note the correct alignment of the Peltier element!
A dedicated NTC sensor (Fig.47 h.) connected to the electronic control board monitors the temperature
inside the cooling compartment and will:
D
Disable the Peltier elements when the temperature is within the correct temperature range.
D
Enable the Peltier elements when the temperature inside the cooling compartment rises within
acceptable levels.
D
Provide an alarm when the temperature inside the cooling compartment exceeds 7
°
C (45
°
F) for a
period of 12 hours.
Note:
Both NTC sensor and Peltier elements are sensible to moist and/or corrosion.
5.4.3
Airflow system
To ensure optimal performance of the cooling system:
D
Use a soft brush to clear the heat sink from dust and dirt.
D
Instruct your customer to clean or replace the air inlet filter at the back of the dispenser at regular intervals.
