Changing the hydraulic oil
Replace the hydraulic oil after every 150
hours of normal operation.
Place a suitable container with a capacity of
at least 4 litres under the oil bung on the log
splitter’s hydraulic oil tank.
Unscrew the oil plug.
Tilt the log splitter, and allow the oil to run
out into the container.
Dispose of the used hydraulic oil in
accordance with local rules and regulations.
Fill with 2.3 litres of hydraulic oil (e.g. Shell
Tellus 22, Mobil DTE11, ARAL Vitam GF22,
BP Energol HLP-HM22) and check that the
oil level is between the markings on the
dipstick.
Wipe down the area around the oil bung.
