USER MANUAL

HOW TO SWITCH ON AND OFF THE CONTROL 

MODULE:  Press the control module on/off key. The display 

will light up and either the audio program or the time will 

be shown on it. Press again the on/off key to switch the 

control module off. 

GENERAL SYSTEM ON/OFF:  Pressing simultaneously the 

on/off and > keys all the control modules of the multiroom 

system will switch on while a flashing “ON” will be shown 

on the display. 

Pressing simultaneously the on/off and < keys all the control 

modules of the multiroom system will switch off while a 

flashing “OFF” will be shown on the display. 

CHANNEL AND AUXILIARY AUDIO INPUT SELECTOR

Push the CH key to change the audio program. The selected 

channel will show on the display.

VOLUME CONTROL:  While the control module is on 

press the > key to turn the volume up and the < key to 

turn the volume down.

CONTROL OF BALANCE AND MONO/STEREO 

SOUND

While the control module is on, press repeatedly the MOD 

key until the feature you want to adjust is shown on the 

display. Then use the keys < and > to regulate the function.

TIME SETUP:  Either when the control module is on or 

off, press repeatedly the MOD key until the function “SET” 

is shown on the display. Set the time using the < > keys. 

Once the time is set in one module, the rest of control 

modules will automatically be sincronized.

AUTO OFF SETUP:  While the control module is on, press 

repeatedly the MOD key until the “AUTO OFF” function 

is shown on the display. The time countdown for automatic 

desconexion will set by pressing the on/off key repeatedly 

(time will increase in intervals of 15 minutes) or using the 

< > keys (time will increase in intervals of 1 minute).

AUTO ON SETUP:  While the control module is off, keep 

pressed the on/off key until the “AUTO ON” function is 

shown on the display. The time countdown for automatic 

conexion will set by pressing the on/off key repeatedly 

(time will increase in intervals of 15 minutes) or using the 

< > keys (time will increase in intervals of 1 minute).

SLEEP MODE:  While the control module is on, press 

repeatedly the MOD key until the function “SLEEP” is 

shown on the display. The switch off time can be set by 

pressing the on/off key repeatedly (time will increase in 

intervals of 15 minutes) or using the < > keys (time will 

increase in intervals of 1 minute).

Another way to activate this function is by keeping pressed 

the on/off key during 3 seconds while the control module 

is on. When the “SLEEP” mode is shown on the display, the 

switch off time can be set by pressing the on/off key 

repeatedly (time will increase in intervals of 15 minutes) 

or using the < > keys (time will increase in intervals of 1 

minute).

ALARM CLOCK SETUP:  Either when the control module 

is on or off, press repeatedly the MOD key until the 

“ALARM” function is shown on the display. Using the < > 

keys the alarm time can be set. Immediately after the alarm 

mode (CH1, IN or BEEP) can be chosen by pressing the 

alarm clock key on the right hand side. The alarm clock 

volume can be also preset using the < > keys. A small bell 

symbol on the display will show the alarm clock is on.

To switch off the alarm clock when ringing just press any 

key.

To deactivate the alarm clock function press repeatedly 

the MOD key until the “ALARM” function is shown on the 

display. Immediately after press repeatedly the alarm clock 

key on the right hand side until “ALARM OFF” is shown 

on the display. The bell symbol will not appear on the display 

any more.

The control module memorizes the last alarm clock setting 

if no new features are introduced. 

CALL RECEPTION AND BABY-PHONE LISTENER

Either when the control module is on or off, calls from 

built-in microphone control modules can be received. The 

zone number of the zone that is calling will show on the 

display “CALL IN + NR”.

The S 400 can be activated as a listener control module 

in the baby-phone function. After having activated the 

control module in the children’s bedroom (this must be a 

built-in microphone control module) press twice the MOD 

key in the listener control when the module is off. “PARENT” 

will show on the display. Use the < > keys to activate or 

deactivate the listening function.  

Up to 5 baby rooms and 5 listening areas can be selected 

to be working simultaneously.

The listening volume can be adjusted using the < > keys, 

is independent from the program volume and is automatically 

memorized by the control module.

DO NOT DISTURB MODE:  When the control module 

is on, press repeatedly the MOD key until “DONT 

DISTURB:OFF” is shown on the display. Press the > key 

to activate the “do not disturb” function. DONT 

DISTURB:ON” will be shown on the display. From that 

moment the control module will not receive any call.

To deactivate this function, repeat the operation and press 

the key <. “DONT DISTURB:OFF” will be shown on the 

display and from that moment the “do not disturb” mode 

will be deactivated.

AUXILIARY AUDIO INPUT (IN):  Connect the audio player 

jack in the audio socket. Press the auxiliary audio input key 

until “IN” is shown on the display.

NOTE.-

 The  

UC 400 S

   supports a máximum of 10 sound control modules and a maximum distance of 100 mts.of cable to the last 

element to be controlled. For higher installations, power supply units or a more powerful central unit would be required.

HOW TO PROGRAM THE SYSTEM:

Once all the system units are already installed, a zone number must be assigned to each control module as follows:
1st.- Keep the keys <> pressed during 4 seconds. The number “1” will be shown on the displays of ever y control module. 
2nd.- Choose the control module you want to be the “zone 1” and press the On/Off key.  The number “1” will be memorized as a zone number in 
that control module. 
3rd.- Now the rest of control modules will show the number “2” in their displays. Choose again which control module you want to be the “zone 2” 
and press the On/Off key of that module. 
4th- Repeat the process as many times as control modules/zones are in the installation.
5th- Once the zone assignment is finished, keep the control module on/off key pressed during 4 secondsin order to leave the “assingnment zone mode”.
