Medium pressure filter unit
The medium pressure filter unit consists of a robust syntetic resin container in which there is
a medium pressure high efficiency filter able to stop dust particles with an efficiency higher
than 99,95 %.
To the medium pressure filter unit the quick coupling is attached, fitted with a no return
valve, for the air line connection, complete with the protective rubber plug.
To the top side is connected the medium pressure hose of the demande valve and the audible
warning device.
The medium pressure filter unit is carried by the belt via a stainless steel hook.
Low pressure warning device
The low pressure warning device is a pneumatic whistle which activates automatically when
the supply pressure drops below 4,5 bar.
Preliminary operations
The device Diablo Amiante, completed by full face mask and antiparticulate filter must be
used only after a careful reading of all the manual of the instruction for use related to the
components and to the equipement used, including the mobile air compressed supply with
attention to the maximum number of the users connected.
The device must transported using the special case in plastic material reporting the device
ID. Before use, open the case and remove the device to start donning.
WARNING: do not use the apparatus if any of the following prior to use checks is not positively
passed.
VISUAL INSPECTION
AIR SUPPLY: Check that the air supply pressure is between 6 and 8 bars and discharge the
possible mist collected in the line filters. It is advisable that the filtering properties of the
purifier, placed before the supply outlet, be checked; in any case, the outlet air must be dry
and odourless and must conform to EN 12021 standard. If necessary, remove the internal
components of the purifier and replace them with similar materials which will grant an
adequate air filtering for a longer time according to the incoming air pureness.
APPARATUS:
• Check that the apparatus is complete, clean and in good conditions.
• Check that the medium pressure coupling can be easily and smoothly connected and
disconnected and that the rubber protective plug is present.
• Check that the particulate filter on the mask is new or clean, in good condition and
with an expiry date that has not been exceeded. Check that the protective cover is
present.
• Check that the medium pressure filter is clean, in good condition and less than 3 years
old.
FUNCTIONAL CHECKS BEFORE USE
• Filter connection to the mask: attach the filter to the mask. For engaging it, align the
arrow of the filter connector with the arrow on the back of the filter case, then push
together and turn until it locks. Leave for the moment the filter unplugged in order to
allow the normal breath, ensuring that it remains still hooked through the noose.
