Mask disinfection is necessary when it is worn by different users in order to prevent hygienic
or sanitary problems. Disinfection can be performed in a container after cleaning or can be
performed by the equipment SONOREX SUPER RK514BH or RK1028CH which can be supplied
by D.P.I. s.r.l.. Keep in mind that detergent and disinfecting agent neutralize each other when
used at the same time, therefore baths have to be kept separate washing carefully the
container among the two. Disinfection can be performed only with authorized (disinfectant
cod. 4437.0360) 5% diluted in water. At the end rinse in running water and dry with the same
precautions as of cleaning procedure.
Demand Valve
Simply remove the rubber protective ring, wash the demand valve with warm water and mild
soap and thoroughly clean the demand valve with a soft, dry cloth. Subsequently reassemble
the rubber protection, placing it in such a way that the slot present on the same, corresponds
with the rib on the dispenser body in correspondence of the medium pressure hose.
If the kind of contamination to which the demand valve has been subjected requires a more
thorough cleaning, disassembly of the device in its main components might be necessary.
This operation, which can be entirely done by hand without the use of tools, involves the
manipulation of the main functional components of the demand valve and needs to be
performed with extreme care and attention by qualified personnel authorized by D.P.I. s.r.l..
Contact D.P.I. s.r.l. for the necessary instructions. Unauthorized personnel are not allowed to
open the demand valve!
Other parts of the Diablo Amiante Apparatus
The frequency of the cleaning and disinfection of the other parts of the breathing apparatus
must be determined in accordance with the nature of the toxic to which have been exposed
and with the degree of contamination. For this cleaning use warm water with mild soap,
rinse thoroughly, rinse in water and air dry. Contact D.P.I. s.r.l. for any clarification.
For cleaning use Degreaser cod. 4437.0370 (5% dilution in water).
For disinfecting use Disinfectant cod. 4437.0360 (5% diluted in water).
Warning: in any case never use sovents or abrasive substances.
After completeing cleaning and disinfection, before sending the apparatus back to service,
repeate all the operations indicated in the paragraph Preliminary operations to ensure that
it is in perfect conditions.
Storage
Before storing the apparatus, carefully carry out all the procedures above described; keep
the equipment in a cool, dry place protected from any source of radiant heat, light and dust.
The rubber hoses must not be submitted to pressures or bended in order to avoid distortion.
Store the clean apparatus in its carrying case. The complete device with all its parts, after
being subjected to the disinfection and cleaning in accordance with the provisions of the
country and the place of work, must be placed in the plastic case showing the product
identifier.
