DESCRIPTION AND INTENDED USE
Sekur EsCAPe is a respiratory protective device for self-‐rescue
constituted by a filtering device with hood for escape from fire. This
device is designed to be used by an instructed and trained user in
escape from an environment where typical contaminants in event of
fire are present. Its time duration is 15 minutes. The device doesn't
protect against a deficiency of oxygen in the external atmosphere.
Warning
:
To use Sekur EsCAPe the concentration of oxygen present
in the environment has to be not less than 17% by volume.
The equipment is an hood with filter, a mouthpiece in black EPDM and
a clip nose contained in a package created to be stored.
The presence of mouthpiece provides a good adaptability to different
facial characteristics, the use by operators with a very small mouth is
not recommended. The functionality of device is closely related to the
ability of the user to firmly bite the mouthpiece, and its use is
therefore not suitable for who those have this capability impaired. A
child can use the device only with the supervision of an adult person.
The device is available in a paper box containing this manual of
instruction for use and maintenance, or with a wall clip equipped with
a copy of the manual for each device.
In event of fire the operator can easily perform the following
operations illustrated in the pictures:

nose , slide the hood over the head (
