Troubleshooting Checklist
NetGuardian 832A & 216T
Power down the unit
o
Remove the power cable or fuse
Remove the top cover from the NetGuardian
o
Remove screws from the top, sides, and/or back of the unit as necessary to free
the top cover.
Screw locations will vary by NetGuardian model.
o
Lift the top cover off
Move Switch 1 of four-position DIPswitch 1 to the ‘ON’ position
An example of four-position DIPswitch 1, typically located behind the NetGuardian front-panel LCD display
Connect your PC to the front craft port of the NetGuardian
o
Connect your laptop to the front DB9 of the NetGuardian. Use a serial-to-serial
or USB-to-serial cable.
