6.5 Fan failure
1. Fan status LED off
Fault phenomenon
Fan status LED is off, which means the fan isn’t connected power or hardware failure.
Troubleshooting
Please check the following:
(1)
Check whether the device power-on is normal.
(2)
Check whether the air intake and exhaust vent are blocked by foreign material. If they are
blocked, please clear them to keep the air flow smooth.
(3)
Check whether the fan tray is fully seated. You can unplug the fan tray, plug it again, and check
whether the fan LEDs are normal.
(4)
If you have a spare fan tray, plug it into the slot, and verify that the spare fan tray can operate
properly. If yes, the old fan tray fails.
If the above failure still exists, please record the information and contact sales agent.
6.6 Configuration terminal problems
If the configuration environment setup is correct, the configuration terminal displays booting information
when the device is powered on. If the setup is incorrect, the configuration terminal displays nothing or
garbled text.
1. No terminal display
Fault phenomenon
If the configuration terminal displays nothing after the switch is powered on.
Troubleshooting
Please check the following:
(1)
The power supply system is operating properly.
(2)
The console cable has been connected to the console port of the device.
(3)
The properties of the terminal are incorrect. You must configure the console terminal as follows:
set Bits per second to 9600, Data bits to 8, Parity to None, Stop bits to 1, Flow control to None,
and Terminal Emulation to VT100.
