Operation
ADD OIL TO ENGINE
1.
Make sure the DR
®
PRO XL-DRT is on a flat, level surface.
2.
Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick to add oil.
3.
Using a funnel, add oil up to the FULL mark on the dipstick. (See engine manual for oil
capacity, oil recommendation, and location of fill cap.).
The engine is shipped without oil. Do not start the engine before adding oil. Refer to your engine manual for the proper oil gauge
to use.
Never use choke to stop engine.
DO NOT OVERFILL! Check engine oil level daily and add as needed
You must add oil before starting the engine. This machine is shipped without oil. Traces of oil may be in the reservoir from
factory testing, but you must add oil before starting the engine. Fill the reservoir slowly, checking the dipstick frequently to avoid
overfilling.
To get an accurate reading when checking the oil level:
The machine should be on a level surface.
The dipstick should be screwed down on Briggs & Stratton engines.
