Maintenance
The thermal imaging camera must be cleaned and inspected regularly
(see “After Use” on page 17 and “Regular Inspections” on page 18).
In order to ensure proper operation and functioning of the camera,
repairs of the thermal imaging camera must only be performed by
qualified service personnel and not by end users. Modifications and/
or enhancements of the original equipment are not allowed.
We recommend that you contact Dräger Safety for information on
obtaining a service contract.
Safety Symbols used in this Manual
While reading this Manual, you will come across a number of
warnings concerning some of the risks and dangers you may face
while using the device. These warnings contain “signal” words that
will alert you to the degree of hazard you may encounter. These
words, and the hazard they describe, are as follows:
WARNING
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided,
could result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided,
could result in physical injury or damage to the product.
It may also be used to alert against unsafe practices.
NOTICE
Indicates additional information on how to use the device.
Export Restrictions
Resale, export, re-export, disposal or transfer of this thermal imaging
camera in its original condition, combined with other products or as
parts outside of the United State of America to a third person is
prohibited by US law unless a prior written approval was given by the
US Department of Commerce. Violation of this regulation may result
into criminal prosecution.
Furthermore, re-export may be subject to a licence requirement in
accordance with EC Regulation 1334/2000 or corresponding
national regulations outside the EC.
At the end of the service life the camera must be returned to
Dräger Safety for proper disposal in accordance with US export
administration regulations.
Description
The thermal imaging camera is a portable, electronic, hand-held
device powered by a rechargeable battery. It can be used in both fire
and non-fire environments and hazards. The thermal imaging camera
was designed to operate in heat, smoke, and water spray.
The thermal imaging camera features water and dust protection
according to IP67 specifications. The housing is made from a high
impact, plastic material providing excellent heat and chemical
protection.
The thermal imaging camera can be fixed to a tripod.
The following standard features are available:

Normal mode and firefighting mode

Different color palettes in normal mode to meet individual
requirements, including "TempColor", "Autumn", "Black Yellow",
"Yellow", "Gray Scale White Hot", and "Gray Scale Black Hot".
