Preparations for operation
WARNING
Risk of explosion!
When using a control unit, carrying strap or accessory that is not suitable, there
is a risk that flammable or explosive atmospheres could be ignited.
►
The control unit on which the mobile app is installed must be suitable and
approved for use in explosion-hazard areas.
►
Only use a control unit that is specified in the technical manual
(www.draeger.com/ifu).
►
Only use the carrying strap supplied (order no. 6851846) made from anti-
static material.
►
Only use accessories that are suitable for use in explosion-hazard areas.
1. Before first use, the sensor unit and the control unit with the mobile app
installed must be charged and made available.
2. The device must be checked for functional integrity each day before use,
with a known concentration of the gas being measured close to the
application-specific target concentration, or preferably a test gas given in the
technical manual.
The result should differ from the test gas by a maximum of 20 %. The
accuracy can be corrected via a calibration process in the event of
deviations or higher accuracy requirements.
4.2 Operating
concept

– The
Records
view can be used to display saved results.
– Other views are used for configuration activities, which are described in the
technical manual.
– The automatic tips and instructions in the mobile app provide the user with
additional guidance on operation.
