 Installing Side Channels: Preparation

For jamb mounting, remove the Fabric Retainer Strip. 

Set aside.

Drill Side Channels at desired mounting points.

 Use  1/8" 

(3 mm)

 Hex Key to remove 

Screws from Side Channels and Side 

Channel Covers.

Please Note:

 Do NOT remove the Bottom 

Caps from Side Channels.

Section 3 -

 Mounting Headbox in a Recessed Pocket 

(Optional)

FlexShade

®

 ZIP XL can also be installed in a 

pocket in ceiling.

4.

 

Mark wall or jamb and drill small pilot holes  

in mounting surface.

Please Note:

 Recommended attachment of Side Channel to structure is 

minimum of every 24"
