9. ASSEMBLY
i. Equipment is to be used in conditions beyond the given specifications, or if equipment is to be
used outdoors.
ii. Equipment is to be used in conjunction with atomic energy, railroad, air navigation,
automobiles or related vehicles, medical equipment or safety equipment.
iii.In applications that adversely effect humans, animals, or property requiring special safety
analysis.
5.3 SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR AIR HAMMERS
Important: Draper Tools Limited recommends that this machine should not be modified or used
for any application other than that for which it was designed. If you are unsure of its relative
applications do not hesitate to contact us in writing and we will advise you.
- Power tools shall not be used in potentially explosive atmospheres unless specifically designed
for that purpose;
- Unexpected tool movement due to reaction forces or breakage of inserted tool or may cause
injuries;
- Power tools shall be isolated from the energy source before changing or adjusting the inserted
tool;
- Warning:
•
There is a risk of loose clothing, hair etc., being caught in the tool;
•
There is a risk of being injured if hands are not kept away from the air hammer chisel;
•
There is a risk of danger to persons from high speed splinters being emitted from Air
hammer.
•
There is a risk of being injured by whipping air hoses.
- Unexpected direction of inserted tool movement can cause a hazardous situation;
- Adopt a suitable posture to counteract normal or unexpected movement of the power tool due
to reaction forces from the power assembly tool;
- Release the start and stop device in the case of an interruption of the energy supply;
- Only lubricants recommended by the manufacturer shall be used;
- Release pressure when not in use. Disconnect from air line;
- Only use accessories specifically hardened for impact use.
- Do not modify this air hammer in any way.
- Do not carry or move the tool by the air line.
9.2 CONNECTING CHISELS - FIG. 3
- Attach the retaining spring onto the nozzle of the
air hammer by screwing it in a clockwise
direction.
- Insert the chisel using the hooked end of the
spring to hold the chisel in place.
NOTE: Disconnect from the air supply before carrying out adjustment, servicing or maintenance.
9.1 CONNECTION TO THE AIR SUPPLY

To connect the air hammer to an air line, a 1/4"BSP
male thread whip hose

– Wind a length of PTFE tape

thread of the whip hose.
– Attatch the hose via the 1/4" BSP (female) air
inlet
