Chapter 10: Calibration Mode
Calibration mode is used to scale and calibrate analog inputs, valve position, output pressure and tune
valve position controller. In this mode, the valve no longer responds to the 4-20 mA input signal.
Configure the SVI before calibration. Access the calibration screens by clicking on the calibrate button
in manual mode. ValVue will display the current calibration data from the SVI.
The SVI Calibration window has three tabs:

•
Tuning
•
Signal Calibration
Clicking a tab brings you a corresponding page.

Range, Tuning,
or
Signal Cal.
tab to continue examine and modify calibration.

OK
button to accept changes entered, download to SVI, and exit to manual mode.

Cancel
button to discard changes entered and exit to manual mode. Note that finding valve
stops (Auto Stop Limits and Manual Stop Limits), Auto Tune, Reset to Factory, and any of the
signal calibrations in the Signal Cal. Page occur immediately when they are performed and
are saved even if the cancel button is clicked instead of the OK button.

CAUTION
Some calibrate functions stroke the valve over its
full range. Isolate the valve from the process
before moving to the Calibrate Mode.
