general Operating Instructions
Plug the Power Cord (31) into 120 volt,
1.
grounded, electrical outlet.
Position the drill bit on the material that is
2.
to be drilled.
To begin drilling, squeeze the Trigger
3.
(30). The speed at which the Drill Chuck
(3) rotates varies depending on how far
in the Trigger is squeezed.
If desired, activate the Trigger Lock (34)
4.
to set the Drill in a continuous run mode.
Avoid overloading the Drill. Do not apply
5.
excessive pressure to the Drill while
drilling. If the speed of the tool drops
abnormally, decrease the pressure
immediately. If the drill bit stops abruptly,
or the drill bit becomes blocked, release
the Trigger (30) at once.
Drill only as deep as is necessary. Do
6.
not drill deeper than necessary into walls
or other areas where you cannot identify
any possible hazards behind the drilling
surface.
To reduce jamming, decrease the drilling
7.
pressure when the point of the drill bit
breaks through the workpiece.
When finished drilling, remove the drill
8.
bit from the hole while the Drill Chuck
(3) is still rotating. This prevents the drill
bit from getting caught in the hole and
causing damage.
Release pressure on the Trigger (30) to
9.
stop the Drill. If Trigger Lock was used,
squeeze Trigger briefly to disengage
lock.
To prevent accidents, turn off the tool
10.
and disconnect its power supply after
use. Remove the bit
after
it has cooled
completely. Clean, then store the tool
indoors out of children’s reach.
