Maximum unsupported horizontal length: 3 feet (1 m);
•
Galvanized flue pipes must not be used because the coating vaporize at high
temperatures and release dangerous gases;
•
Flue pipes must be at least 24 gauge in thickness;
•
The chimney connector must be in good condition;
•
Flue pipe joints should overlap 1 1/4". (30 mm);
•
It should not be necessary to move the furnace to maintain the exhaust system.
•
The male ends of the pipe sections must be oriented towards the appliance so that
falling dust and condensation stay inside the pipe;
•
The use of 45° elbows is strongly recommended;
•
Never use more than two 90° elbows.
Use 45° elbows where possible, rather than 90° elbows.
Alternative installations with 90° elbow or tee.
