TECHNICAL INFORMATION

FIRInG UP

Both air control slides open (pushed in).

MAXIMUM ThERMAl OUTPUT

After firing up, we recommend selecting the setting "maximum thermal output". This is the best
way to avoid unnecessary pollution. Do not use only the air slides to control the heat emitted by
the stove, but also vary the amount of fuel you burn. Use only as much fuel as you need
for your actual requirements. This improves the efficiency of the stove and helps protect he
environment. The position of the slides can be varied according to the chimney draught and
the weather conditions. Always ensure that the fire has enough air to burn down completely.

vEnTIlATIOn

At the lower rear side of the stove is a 100mm diameter hole that facilitates the entry of air
into the combustion chamber. If required, the combustion air requirements can be piped
to outside. Consideration should be given to wind affecting the outside terminal and the
possibility of condensation forming within the piping. Installation work for the ventilation
should always be carried out by a qualified engineer.

Attention! Danger by insufficient ventilation!

n

Your dealer or qualified engineer will calculate and advise you on ventilation requirements.

n

Do not obstruct ventilation openings or grilles.

n

Specialist advice should be sought if you have any mechanical extraction either within the

heated room or adjacent rooms.

n

Beware of aggressive chemicals being stored near ventilation openings or terminals.

Fluorine and chlorine solutions can and will cause corrosion.

n

A lack of ventilation will seriously affect performance and combustion and is a serious

threat to life and health.

n

A carbon monoxide alarm must be fitted on all installations and regularly checked.

n

Ventilation openings should be checked and cleared of debris regularly.
