SS Settings Config Editor
The
SS Settings Config Editor
software allows the user to create predefined tables for operating the
CCN-200 in a scanning mode with variable supersaturation and time periods. Users can enter up to
four such tables for each of the CCN-200’s two columns. Moving the
A/B Table
switch in the upper
right changes the display from Column A tables to Column B tables.
Figure 59 shows the configuration editor program displaying the first table for Column A.
When configuring supersaturation tables, it is recommended that the states progress from lower
supersaturations to higher ones. The CCN instrument performs best with gradual increases in column
temperature followed by a major cooling back to a low supersaturation.
The tables allow the following preconfigured settings to be loaded into the operating program:

Supersaturation rate
•
Duration in minutes for the supersaturation setting
