Fan
• Switch the unit off and isolate the unit from the power supply�
• Remove the screws and take the front plate off the unit�
• Disconnect the 2 plugs on the fan and slide the fan out of the unit by pulling it towards you�
• Check the housing and fan blades for contamination and damage�
• Use a soft brush to clean the housing and fan blades�
• Use a vacuum cleaner to remove all the dust�
Heat pump
• Switch the unit off and isolate the unit from the power supply�
• Remove the control unit with integral user controls�
• Remove the screws and take the front plate off the unit�
• Pull the fan scroll out of the unit�
• Connect the fan scroll connectors�
• Slacken the two screws on the front of the cooling section�
• Pull the cooling section forwards or out of the unit�
• Release the inverter PCB (the printed circuit board behind the fan scroll) by pulling the plastic locking pin out of the insulation
housing using a flat-blade screwdriver�
• Remove the connectors from this inverter PCB�
• You need to blow out the evaporator with compressed air or use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust or dirt� Take care not to dama-
ge the fins!
• Fit everything back into the unit in reverse order�
Condensate drain
• Switch the unit off and isolate it from the power supply�
• Remove the control unit with integral user controls�
• Unscrew the front plate are take it off the unit�
• Check whether there is any water left in the condensate drain�
• If you have used a standard trap, it needs to be filled with water in order to achieve an airtight system�
• You can pour water into the trap to see if it is still working properly� By doing so you will also ensure that it is filled to the opti-
mum level again (water in a trap can evaporate at higher temperatures)�
• Check the drainage path downstream for blockages if the water does not drain off properly�
• Fit the front plate and the control unit back onto the unit� Tighten the screws sufficiently to ensure that the unit is sealed airtight�
Air ducts
Most dust gets into the ducts during the build phase� The piping network needs to be cleaned every 8 years with normal use�
• Remove the vents
• Check the air ducts visually for contamination� Dust and/or grease can adhere to the first section of the duct�
• Clean the ducts with a damp cloth and use a bio-degreaser or soapy water as appropriate� Do not use solvents!
