(c) If you cannot cover the solar array, replace the voltage regulator early in the
morning or in the evening when the Sun is low in the sky.
(d) LABEL ALL WIRES what you are about to disconnect so that you can reconnect
them to the correct points.
(e) Disconnect all the wires from the charge regulator. The wires should be
disconnected in the following order:
1.Load positive
2.Load negative
3.Solar array positive
4.Solar array negative
5.Battery positive
6.Battery negative
(f) Remove the old charge regulator from its mounting and replace it with the new
one. Make sure that it is the same type of regulator as the old one.
(g) Reconnect all of the wires to the new charge regulator in the following order:
1.Battery negative
2. Battery positive
3.Solar array positive
4.Solar array negative
5.Load negative
6. Load positive
(h) Reconnect the wires from the new charge regulator to the battery terminals.
(I) Uncover the solar array
(j) Switch the refrigerator back ON again.
