 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 

 

 

 
 

 

TOOLS NEEDED 

 

Drill with #2 Phillips drill bit or 
   Phillips Screwdriver 
Super or Crazy Glue 

Hammer or Mallet

 

 
 

 

 
 

 

 

 

 
 

 

TRELLIS ASSEMBLY 

 

(Refer to Drawing 1) 

 

On clean flat surface lay the 2 x 2 x 74” left post with the routed holes are facing up and the screw 
pilot holes are facing you.  Insert one of the 

 x 1

 x 22” top/bottom rails into the bottom routed 

hole, then continue to insert nine 

¼

 x 1

 x 22

 slats into the middle slots.  Set the 2 x 2 x 74” 

right post on top of the previous assembly and insert each rail into the routed holes.  Lay trellis flat, 
starting at the top right of the trellis, take one

 x 66” slat and weave it above, then below 

each of the

 x 22” slats, insert into right slot of the bottom rail.  Weave left

 x 1

 x 66” slat in the opposite direction of the right slat, and insert into the left slot in the 

bottom rail.  Spread the top of the panel just enough to insert the second 

 x 1

½

  x 22” 

top/bottom rail, inserting the free end of the slats into the into the top/bottom rail.  Make sure all 

parts are inserted completely into both posts and fasten with screws.  Snap screw caps over screw 

heads.  Finally, apply household glue to the corners of each  

2 x 2” post cap and place on top of each post.  Trellis is now ready for installation (See Ground 
Anchor Hardware Bag).
