Now your generator should look like the picture to the below which is ready for the next step of
adding engine oil.
5. Add engine oil and check the engine:
IMPORTANT NOTE!
Engine is shipped without engine oil! Before operation, engine must be filled with the
appropriate type and quantity of oil as specified by the engine manufacturer. Damage
to the engine will result in running the engine without the proper type and quantity of
oil. The warranty does NOT cover engine damage as a result of operating the engine
without oil as specified by the manufacturer. Please refer to the engine owner’s
manual for the type, quantity and proper method for filling the engine with oil.

Engine is shipped without oil. You must add oil before first use.

Check the oil level (see engine manual). To avoid the inconvenience of an
unexpected shutdown by the Oil Sentry system, always check the engine oil level
before startup.
